God Took Me to Las Vegas
My mission with the God Took Me to Las Vegas podcast is to save lives and allow the person to Reveal the Lifestyle Champion within them. There are many different types of recovery programs, they all are aimed at helping those battling substance use disorders to transition from being harmed to being clean and sober. Anyone who’s battling a compulsive or destructive behavior wants to be healthy and they desire to live a happy and productive life. Sadly, only 1 in 10 Americans with a substance use disorder receives treatment. Why?Because it’s not safe to come forward and admit your challenges. The stigma is fueling an American public health crisis and we need to “Crush the Stigma!”Substance use disorders are associated with discrimination and social disapproval – more than any medical condition. These same people are often isolated, outcast, and even imprisoned. Stigma isolates people, it discourages them from seeking help, and even leads some medical providers to resist delivering evidence-based treatment services.

Episode 174 – Interview with Austin Moore, Found the strength to raise my hand.
Austin now resides in the Denver, Colorado metro. He’s the founder and coach of a business called Catalyst Crew, where he and his team work with individuals to build their most important asset – themselves. Whether they are trying to quit compulsive and destructive habits, or they are working on building good habits, the Catalyst Crew team is there to assist.
As you’ll hear and learn about during this interview, Austin overcame alcohol addiction, suicidal ideations, severe anxiety, and depression, and then started living a life he was proud of. He started sharing his story and began helping others on a personal level.
Early in his career, he was working in staffing, but after getting sober his passions started to shift - after praying for a sign of what his next direction should be, several strange things happened, leading him to start Catalyst Crew. His coaching community was built to help others navigate similar challenges in life. Through 1:1 coaching, retreats, and their community, Austin and the Catalyst Crew team are helping people break the grasp of destructive habits and start living intentional, prosperous, and happy lives.
His sobriety date is July 31, 2017. He touts that he was able to overcome what he had been going through when he finally found the strength to raise his hand and ask for help. And following that decision, he touts that “I told everyone around me, and shortly thereafter began sharing his story with the world.”
Austin’s mission today is to help change the notion that rock-bottom has to be our catalyst for change. And he’s often quoted as saying, “YOU are the catalyst and YOU decide when you want to change your life”.
