Episode 229 – Dr. Kimberly Harms, a Resilience and Healing Guru

Dr. Kimberly Harms is a highly accomplished dentist, grief counselor, and civil mediator, with over 30 years of clinical dentistry experience and 21 years as the National Spokesperson for the American Dental Association. Throughout her career, Dr. Harms has faced extraordinary personal challenges, including her mother’s battle with bipolar disorder and suicide, the tragic loss of her son to suicide, and numerous other family losses. These experiences have deeply informed her approach to helping others cope with grief and loss.

Dr. Harms is passionate about fostering positive communication and managing conflict within dental teams, especially in the face of major life events like death, divorce, or job loss. She has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor, led innovative healthcare initiatives, and worked internationally, empowering women's groups and collaborating with dental schools in places like Mongolia and Rwanda.

Her unique blend of personal experience, professional expertise, and resilience has made her a sought-after speaker and advisor, appearing on national platforms such as CNN, Fox News, and NPR, and being featured in major publications like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
